Top-Up Interview.

Endorsements and case studies have long been used in education to provide examples of the transformational experience of studying; the adaptation of the format for a video allowed us to deliver a more genuine, more engaging piece of marketing collateral for a campaign primarily aimed at UKCBC students on Level 5 Higher National Diplomas.

The top-up video allowed us to combine essential information about the top-up degree (“one year of study”… “equivalent to a bachelor’s degree”) with qualitative details regarding personal and professional growth (“It’s just one year, one year that might change your life”), while promoting the college’s values (“you get a lot of support”).

Meet the Course Advisors.

Part of the Mature Student campaign, this video introduced prospective students to UKCBC’s customer-facing team and the types of information they can provide (student finance, entry requirements).

The video was targerted at prospective students in the middle of the conversion funnel; typically, they would be interested in finding out more about practicalities of studying and how studying would fit around their work and home life (hence the introduction of “evening and weekend study”).

As with all our video projects, we were building upon the college’s supportive brand value, while highlighting the personal experience prospecive students can expect if they enquire.

Student Support.

An extensive research profile on mature students formed the basis for the student support video. We found that the trepidation older learners felt towards returning to education (early in the enrolment funnel) was best alleviated by offering flexibility and strong pastoral care. The video below allowed the marketing team to highlight both while promoting the small, intimate college experience students could expect.

Student Finance.

If I had to choose the single biggest barrier stopping prospective mature students from enrolling, it would be student finance. Although our research indicated the financial consideration usually come later in the conversion funnel, it’s still the biggest obstable to overcome, and understandably. Many mature students have families that need financial support and, thus, cannot afford to drop working hours.

The aim of this video was to show the various financial support structures that have been designed for adult learners, of which many are unaware. Again, the video was framed from our small college perspective, thereby showing the personal touch each and every student receives at UKCBC — from enrollment through to student finanance application.

New Campus.

UKCBC invested in a brand-new campus in Central London. The video below was created as a brief showcase that our course advisors could use to effectively sell the campus to prospective students.
